WALVOIL GREEN SUPPLIER AWARD. THE WINNERS OF THE SECOND EDITION

In 2023, on the occasion of Walvoil's 50th anniversary celebrations, we had the pleasure of establishing and presenting the Green Supplier Award for the first time to the top three companies that distinguished themselves for their ESG performance and their projects in the areas of environment, ethics and legality, and social issues.

Our commitment, as an organisation and as a community that intends to take a long-term view of the future, to create and leave something that preserves and lasts over time, that is “sustainable”, continues.

To do this, we intervene in all areas by informing, training, facilitating behaviours and attitudes, investing in infrastructure and facilities, and, last but not least, dialoguing with all our stakeholders, including partners.

Many projects were received in 2025, submitted by companies of very different sizes and types, but all of them demonstrated with facts the importance of the path taken and how ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) strategies and small but significant steps are bearing unexpected fruit.
The projects received were evaluated on the basis of the responses to the MACQ001 questionnaire (50%) and the projects presented (50%).

The three best initiatives selected by Alberto Caselli, Head of Safety and Environment, and Anna Guerzoni, Head of Integrated Management Systems at Walvoil, were those of:

MOLLE INDUSTRIALI CONTE Srl
TRAFILSPEC ITS Spa
VIS HYDRAULICS Srl

The winning companies, all tied for first place, were awarded on 19 November at the Walvoil headquarters in Corte Tegge (Cavriago, Reggio Emilia, Italy).

The reasons for the award:

Molle Industriali Conte for the multiple certifications obtained, including SA8000 (Corporate Social Responsibility) and for the project launched in ‘Società Benefit’;

Trafilspec for its various ESG assessment activities carried out not only according to model 231, but also according to Cerved and Cribis criteria. The comprehensive sustainability report presented was greatly appreciated;

Vis Hydraulics for obtaining B Corp and gender equality certifications and for its many welfare initiatives in favour of its employees and projects dedicated to the community.

The Green Supplier Award was presented by Fabio Marasi, Chairman and CEO, and Cristina Mezzini, Purchasing Director at Walvoil.

The award was presented to:
- Massimo Auzas from Molle Industriali Conte
- Fabrizio and Paolo Ricco from Trafilmec
- Adamo Venturelli from VIS Hydraulics.

Our heartfelt congratulations to the winning companies and our thanks to all the other suppliers who competed with high-quality projects.

See you at the next edition!
