The Project RED team also attended the event on 10 June to mark the 50th anniversary of Walvoil's founding.

The main activity of the Team, supported for the current year by funding from DISMI (15k €) and by industrial partners through the supply of components, is to design and build a rover prototype for extraterrestrial exploration with which to compete the European Rover Challenge.

During the event, the project captured the interest of many people present, who were able to explore the RED-1 rover up close and see the tangible progress made so far, including the design drawing of the new prototype (ORIONE), with which the Project RED team will participate in the next Challenge.

The audience was also able to admire the fluid movement of a small prototype in action, demonstrating the locomotion and manoeuvring capabilities that the Unimore team is developing.

Congratulations to the Project RED team for the enthusiasm they invest in their project, with which they also ‘infect’ partner companies such as Walvoil, and our best wishes for the next European Rover Challenge!
