Walvoil's 50th anniversary events, which opened last week, continue. After a week dedicated to subsidiaries and a day on Saturday, 10th June, involving employees and their families, Monday 12th June, was Supplier Day, the first event dedicated to the company's suppliers.

On that occasion, awards were presented to the winners of the three categories 'Welfare', 'Ethics and Legality', and 'Environment', which meet the ESG criteria of the ONU 2030 Agenda.

An award dedicated to our suppliers, our partners, those whose valuable supports have contributed to the company's success over the years.

ATTENTION TO SUSTAINABILITY AS A DAILY PRACTICE
More than 100 projects submitted

''When months ago, we decided to establish the Green Supplier Award to raise awareness of Walvoil's supply chain, we would have never imagined that we would receive so many projects in such a short time, and very advanced ones at that,'' says Cristina Mezzini, Walvoil Purchasing Director.

The analysis and selection of projects was conducted by colleagues Alberto Caselli, Safety and Environment Manager, and Anna Guerzoni, Integrated Management Systems Manager, who were able to explore the sustainability theme in its broadest sense.''
''Attention and sensitivity to the theme of sustainability declined in its multiple meanings, environmental, social and economic, are an integral part of Walvoil's vision and daily activity. Witnesses to this are our production practices, products, which we increasingly develop with a glance to energy saving and recovery, as well as, efficient logistics with optimized packaging and other internal interventions, as well as initiatives in the welfare sphere,'' says Fabio Marasi, Walvoil's President, who, with his speech, opened the day dedicated to suppliers.

Quality of projects and results

The award, which Walvoil also established as an opportunity for dialogue and mutual growth, was given to the three best initiatives and projects among those received among the ones received from Italian and foreign suppliers. The winners are:

FARMA Srl - ESG Award - for the Environment section
Torni Automatici Srl - ESG Award - for the Ethics and Legality section
VIS Hydraulics - ESG Award - for the Welfare section

Walvoil's congratulations to the winning companies of the 2023 edition, and our gratitude also to the many other suppliers who competed with their quality projects.

The Green Supplier Award was presented by Fabio Marasi, President and CEO, and Cristina Mezzini, Purchasing Director of Walvoil.
