Walvoil is part of the Tasc Project

Walvoil is part of the Tasc Project, whose purpose is to define, prototype and test energy-efficient hybrid electric architectures for medium-power agricultural tractors.

Besides Walvoil, the project involves CNH Industrial and the labs: CNR Imamoter, Mister Smart Innovation, Cidea from Parma University and Intermech from Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) University.

In addition to purely energy benefits, the hybridization will also lead to functional improvements and will facilitate the simplification of the hydro-mechanical architecture and its components.

With the introduction of electrical/electronic components the safety and reliability implications will be considered and, thanks to the collaboration of partner companies,   the identified solutions will be implemented in prototype form and characterised by a test bench and/or on the test vehicle on field.

The project will end in 2021.
